Fabulista Amused: By Peasantries

image

Ever since one’s arrival at the village school, one question has been on everyone’s minds and lips apparently, “is the Fabulista or isn’t the Fabulista?” It’s a very strange affair. Never has one’s personal affairs been so hotly speculated, discussed and dissected.

The state of being that is referred to is the very personal matter of one’s marital status of course. Over here, I am inclined to assume the cause of its greater concern all boils down to Maslowe’s theory on the hierarchy of needs; they are still very motivated by basic things, clinging on to the very feudal, very regressive, very archaic notion of marital bliss – how quaint, charming in a peasant and village serf-like way.

Of course, there have been some who had dared ventured and asked. The respond one feels is most appropriate is a polite, “one is fabulous, in a superlative sort of way and engaged to it.”

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a full time affair and more than enough, thank you very much…
