America - The Last Best Hope...?

Here is an interesting debate between Jon Stewart and Bill Bennett on how can USA call itself a land of the free when it restricts its people on choices of abortion and same-sex marriages. It also raises questions on whether marriage is defined by sex or the human condition amongst other issues. Thanks to Chris for telling me about this clip.

William John Bennett (born July 31, 1943) is an American politician. He served as United States Secretary of Education from 1985 to 1988. He also held the post of Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (or "Drug Czar") under George H. W. Bush. He is a conservative republican and as many times come under fire for making what is thought of as racist or biased remarks.

Jon Stewart (born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz, November 28, 1962) is an American comedian, actor, author, and producer, best known as host of The Daily Show. The popularity of this late-night show has earned Stewart notoriety as "the most trusted name in fake news", and he has been called a "Walter Cronkite" for a younger generation. He has also gained attention as an outspoken critic of established news media sources.

The debate as broadcasted on Comedy Central (but no, it was a serious discussion):
