Did you know? I think I am falling for you…
It began when we went out for the dinner. I loved the place that you chose. The food was disappointing but the atmosphere of the place was fabulous.
The restaurant faced the harbour. You let me have the good seat with the view. Chivalry is not dead. You sat with your back against the harbour. The view was indeed breathtaking.
I enjoyed the conversations we had – they were interesting and unending, with topics flowing seamlessly from one to another. The transitions were smooth and easy.
I loved the window-shopping we did that evening. From designer water shops to health food stores to asking what hashima is. You were so cheekily curious about everything. I loved the way you led me from shop to shop to find out about new stuff and information.
The conversational nightcap at Starbucks® was weird in an interesting manner.
I loved the way you walked so close to me that night. Almost shoulder-to-shoulder – I could smell your l’eau D’Issey. It was intoxicating.
We met up again for a movie a couple of days later. I was glad to see you. I couldn’t recognize you at first – you have such a different weekday look. But I was so glad to see you again.
The movie wasn’t as we expected. We discussed it like literature over a late supper. I love talking with you. It’s so stimulating and the topics so widely varied.
It’s just so difficult to decipher your body language. It is at times close and warm; distant and avoiding at others, but all on the same occasion.
Perhaps you are not as interested as I thought you might be.
Perhaps my expectations of what constitutes ‘interest’ is different from you…
I am just not sure. Perhaps I should just relax and enjoy the moments as they come instead.
Perhaps I will see you again.
